SUMMER SMOOTHIES

Shaun Kay, Personal Trainer at JD Gyms Preston, kindly shares some healthy smoothie recipes with us.

ALMOND BANANA BERRY

> 100g Greek yogurt (0% fat)
> 100ml low fat almond milk
> 40g mixed frozen berries
> 1 x banana
> 1 x  scoop of protein (vanilla or strawberry flavour)
> Handful of ice cubes
> Blend until smooth and enjoy 🙂

BERRY BEETROOT BLAST

> 30g blackberries
> 30g blackcurrants
> 30g blueberries
> 30g raspberries
> 30g beet root
> 20g kale
> 150ml pure blackcurrant juice
> Handful of ice cubes
> Blend until smooth and enjoy 🙂

CHILI METABOLISM BOOST

> 1 x red chilli
> 30g fresh ginger
> 1 x orange
> 1 x avocado
> 200ml fresh orange juice
> Handful of ice cubes
> Blend until smooth and enjoy .. watch the kick from the chili  🙂
