LIFESTYLE FITNESS CARLISLE IS NOW JD GYMS!

We have fully refurbished and transformed the former Lifestyle Fitness Carlisle and created the incredible JD Gyms Carlisle.

JD Gyms acquired Lifestyle Fitness Carlisle in March 2025, and we have since completely transformed the gym into a world-class, 24-hour fitness facility with an entirely new look and feel.

Here’s what you can expect from our game-changing gym:

Located in a fantastic position on Currock Road, JD Gyms Carlisle is a huge 24-hour fitness space, filled with an incredible array of industry-leading equipment. We pride ourselves on providing an amazing amount of specialised kit that you’d struggle to find in other gyms!

Cardio:

We have loads of cardio kit from treadmills to SkiErgs, bikes, rowers, Stair Climbers and more, so you can get your sweat on however you like!

Plate-Loaded equipment and Free-Weights:

You’ll find a top-notch selection of plate-loaded machines from Hammer-Strength, and plenty of resistance machines, as well as a large free-weights area.

Lifting Platforms:

We have 4 lifting platforms with racks, kitted out with high-quality Olympic bars and bumper plates by industry-leader Eleiko. Don’t they look inviting?

Dedicated Glute Area:

Plus, there’s an area packed with equipment specifically dedicated to training glutes and legs.

Sled Track and Eleiko Functional Zone:

We have a sled track complete with two sleds and plenty of plates, so you can push and pull to your heart’s content, as well as a functional rig kitted out with everything you need from top fitness brand Eleiko. This is a great space for a hybrid style workout!

Changing Rooms and Saunas:

The changing rooms offer plenty of space and lockers for your things, plus free-to-use hair dryers and saunas
