YOUR SAFETY IN OUR GYMS

KEEPING YOU SAFE AND SECURE IN OUR GYMS

We want you to use our gyms safely and confidently, with the reassurance that there’s always help available if you need it. We have 24-hour CCTV and emergency help points throughout our gyms, as well as automated external defibrillators (AEDs) and first aid kits for emergency assistance. Please familiarise yourself with our key safety measures below:

SECURE ENTRY SYSTEM:

To make sure that you’re safe inside our gyms, night and day, every member is given a unique QR code on our entry app each time that they enter, or a unique PIN code, that needs to be used to gain access through our secure entry gates each time they visit so we know who is in our gyms at all times.

24 HOUR CCTV:

We have 24-hour CCTV camera monitoring throughout our gyms, manned by trained remote operators who can speak to members using the tannoy and assist with any emergency during unstaffed hours.

AUTOMATED EXTERNAL DEFIBRILATOR (AED)

We have automated external defibrillators (AEDs) in all our gyms as standard, providing emergency life-saving support for our members and the local communities they serve. These are installed in a prominent and central location in each gym, often near our entry pods, and deliver full spoken instructions to guide anyone through how to use them in an emergency. Please ensure you familiarise yourself with the location of the AED.

EMERGENCY HELP POINTS:

Red emergency help points are located throughout our gyms with 2-way communication so that you can speak to someone in our CCTV team to ask for emergency assistance. There is also a phone number next to the help points to get you straight through to someone on our security monitoring team, who will be able to assist with emergencies. Please familiarise yourself with the locations of these help points or ask a member of staff if you are unsure.

DISABILITY ACCESS:

Our gyms provide disability access including, lifts, ramps, toilets, and changing rooms. If you’re a new member that selects the option for disabled access, you’ll be contacted by your Gym Manager to arrange a meeting in the gym to discuss your needs, complete a Personal Emergency Evacuation Plan (PEEP) and guide you through using the facilities, so you can feel comfortable and safe in your new gym, whether you are working out during unstaffed hours or not.

FIRST AID KITS:

We provide essential access to First Aid kits across all our gyms. All staff and personal trainers are first aid qualified so they can help in a first aid emergency inside our gyms.?If you need medical assistance during unstaffed hours please use one of the emergency help points located around the gym.
