About Unstaffed Hours

TIPS FOR STAYING SAFE DURING UNSTAFFED HOURS:

Although we will have a remote CCTV team in place to support you during unstaffed hours, it’s important that you adhere to the gym rules in the unstaffed hours document to ensure your safety.

Please ensure you read our full unstaffed hours document before training in the gym during unmanned times, as well as familiarising yourself with the important information below:

Be in good health: It’s important that you are in good health and have no underlying conditions that might require assistance or treatment during hours when the gym is unstaffed. We recommend you get advice from a medical professional to ensure you are fit to train before working out during unstaffed hours.

Know what you’re doing: Only use the equipment you feel confident with and don’t exceed your limits when working out during unstaffed hours. If you have any questions on equipment use or would like an induction then please ask a member of staff in the gym. Please only work out during unstaffed hours when you feel confident enough to do so.

Know your gym: It’s key that you familiarise yourself with the layout of the equipment, location of the emergency help points around the gym and know where emergency exits and the defibrillator are located. This is particularly important if you are working out when there is no other members in the gym.

Seek help: If you feel unwell, injure yourself or are concerned for your wellbeing then it’s important that you seek help. You can use one of the red emergency help points to connect with our 24 hour emergency support team, or ask another member to assist you where possible.

Train with a friend:  It’s best to train with someone else during unstaffed hours, but we understand that this isn’t always possible. If you do come alone then it’s even more important to familiarise yourself with the unstaffed hours document and ensure you follow the guidelines set out.
